Scott A. Leadingham is a Freedom Forum staff writer. He has worked as a journalist and newsroom trainer, and he has also worked as a reporter, editor and news director in public media in the Northwest and Midwest. He previously oversaw training and professional development for the national Society of Professional Journalists, based in Indianapolis. He studied political science and public policy at Central Washington University and earned a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University Bloomington. He was raised in eastern Washington and now lives in Spokane and considers himself a lifelong (and long-suffering) Seattle Mariners fan.
