Comedian Jon Stewart and Newsweek reporter Maziar Bahari on the film “Rosewater”
“Rosewater” chronicles the true story of Iranian journalist Maziar Bahari, who was arrested in 2009 while covering the Iranian presidential elections and detained for 118 days in the notorious Evin prison, where he was interrogated and tortured. The Committee to Protect Journalists and other press freedom groups led a campaign to free him and focus global attention on jailed journalists.
Filmmaker Jon Stewart and Bahari discuss the making of the film, the real-life story that inspired it and the continuing risks journalists face around the world.
