Our Work

Our Mission

To foster First Amendment freedoms for all.

Our Vision

The First Amendment is the cornerstone of a government by, for and of the people, yet most Americans can’t name the five freedoms it guarantees. Our vision is an America where everyone knows, values and defends First Amendment freedoms. We believe that encouraging the broad understanding and vigorous use of these fundamental freedoms by the people is the best way to preserve and protect these freedoms for future generations.

Our Work

We raise awareness of First Amendment freedoms through education, advocacy and action, sharing the stories of Americans who have exercised their rights to ignite change.

Education

We expand the public’s knowledge of the First Amendment and when those freedoms are under attack or misunderstood, we educate people about their rights.

Advocacy

Our support of the First Amendment is nonpartisan. When these rights are in jeopardy, we defend them.

Action

First Amendment freedoms belong to the people. The resources we provide and the conversations we inspire enlighten Americans about how to use their rights to advance causes that matter to them, their families and their communities.
