Dear Diversity Institute,
I wanted to share my good news.
I am now a Chester County beat reporter (at The Herald in Rock Hill, S.C.). I have a beat that includes a full county and I’m very excited because I’ll still get to write business stories and everything that comes out of that county. The Chester County beat has been ignored for a while so that’s part of the excitement having my own beat again and being able to cover a diversity of issues.
Thank you so much for helping to push me along in my career path. Let everyone there know that I am progressing along in my career and having a great time.
Denyse Clark, a reporter at The Herald in Rock Hill, S.C., graduated in the second Diversity Institute class. Her previous beats were business, crime and the Catawba Indians. She will continue to cover the Catawba Indians.
