One of those golf almanacs had a boxed item that said: "No Asian golfer has won a major." Another box noted that "Tiger Woods is the first Black golfer to win a major."

So I wrote the publisher-editor and pointed out that since Tiger Woods has a Thai mother and a Filipina grandmother, doesn't that make him Asian? He wrote back that since Tiger was "just half Asian, that doesn't count."
